About Me

First time on bike in 1945 as Piillion on My Brother's Triumph, through the Mersey Tunnel. Started riding bikes off road in 1952. First bike on road was an Ex WD Norton 16H. Owned or ridden almost every make over the years.

Favourite blke, 1952 AJS 500cc model 18S which I purchased in 1974. Worst bike ridden, none. All bikes are good, some better than others. Joined the VMCC in 1975 and became North Staffs Secretary from 1982-2004. On the Management Committee from 1989-2001. President in 2000.

Favourite riding areas, The peak District and North Wales.

Favourite Cafe, Wetton Mil, where I first rode to in 1956 on a BSA 125cc Bantam and have a photo to prove it..

Re: Geoff's recent photo postings of members bikes. Two fantastic pics of "genuine Matchless's. Can anyone else spot THEIR bikes?
